Jamshedpur: Saryu Roy, Jamshedpur West MLA, has announced the immediate dissolution of all Public Grievance Committees and other related committees constituted at the Mango Municipal Corporation level, as well as at the police station level in Mango.
The decision has been taken in view of the commencement of the election process for the Mango Municipal Corporation and the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct across the civic body area.
In a press statement, Roy said that after the completion of the Mango Municipal Corporation elections and in the changed post-election scenario, Public Grievance Representatives and committees would be reconstituted afresh.
He stated that these committees were earlier formed at the Jamshedpur West Assembly constituency level, Mango Municipal Corporation level, and Mango police station level with the objective of facilitating civic services for residents, exerting necessary pressure on urban local bodies for effective delivery of public amenities, and monitoring their functioning in the public interest.
