Jamshedpur, July 10: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy today visited various localities in his constituency to review basic civic amenities. He went to Namda Basti, Nanak Nagar, Anand Nagar and Vikas Colony among other localities and spoke to people regarding availability of basic amenities like water supply, roads, electricity supply, waste disposal and drainage system.
In Anand Nagar, Roy was informed by local residents that Tata Steel UISL was yet to supply water to them. Despite laying of pipeline, water supply has not started in the area, said Roy.
Roy spoke to officials concerned of the area and directed them to take necessary steps to resolve the water supply issue as early as possible. He also suggested installation of a public water post in the locality. He assured the residents of fulfilling their various demands in the due course.
