Saryu meets DC over Mango power sub-station project

Jamshedpur: Former MLA and senior BJP leader Saryu Roy today met the deputy commissioner of East Singhbhum Dr Amitabh Kaushal and inquired about the status of the proposed project to set up a power sub-station in Mango.

Speaking to scribes after the meeting, Roy said the project is being delayed due to land problem. Energy department is yet to transfer land for the purpose. No action has been taken to speed up work on the project, alleged Roy.

The former legislator said he had written a letter to the DC on 21st August last demanding that six acre land of agriculture department situated in Mango should be transferred to the energy department for the construction of the power sub-station. But so far no action has been taken on the demand, he said.

Roy said the DC had written to the agriculture department in this regard without getting a positive response. He said the state agriculture minister Banna Gupta should take initiative and transfer the land to the energy department as soon as possible.
