Saryu bats for traders’ advice in Jamshedpur market development plan

Jamshedpur, Nov 21: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy held talks with Tata Steel officials and the state government and suggested that shopkeepers of the market places in Jamshedpur be taken into confidence while making blueprints for development. Roy gave this information through a tweet. The East Jamshedpur legislator stated that the shopkeepers had set up their business establishments on freehold land through generations and that saw to the development of major city markets.

Saryu Roy also advocated allowing traders to repair their shops, make them permanent structures and modernize them. MLA representative (business affairs) Akash Shah said that Saryu Roy’s initiative would boost the confidence of shopkeepers in the major and fringe markets of the steel city. He said that the shopkeepers were not against development but it was necessary for the authorities concerned to take their suggestions in matters of market development.
