Sardar Amrik Singh gains unanimous support as Head of Central Sikh Nawjawan Sabha

Jamshedpur: A meeting of the Central Sikh Nawjawan Sabha was convened at the Central Gurdwara office in Sakchi, with Sardar Amrik Singh presiding as the President of Nawjawan Sabha. The meeting commenced with Gagan Deep Singh of the Nawjawan Sabha offering prayers at the feet of Guru Maharaj. Subsequently, Inderjit Singh of the Nawjawan Sabha informed the members that Sardar Amrik Singh had been appointed as the head of the Central Sikh Nawjawan Sabha during a recent meeting of the Central Gurdwara Committee.

Following this announcement, a meeting of all the units of the Nawjawan Sabha was called, where everyone expressed unanimous support for Sardar Amrik Singh’s appointment as the head of the Nawjawan Sabha for the next three years. The meeting also discussed preparations for Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj’s Prakash Parv and the expansion of the Nagarkirtan service, with plans to possibly enlarge the Youth Sabha’s new committee.

Amrik Singh urged congregations to promptly submit their committee lists and initiate preparations for Nagarkirtan. The meeting was attended by over 90 members, primarily comprising youth from various organizations, including Telco, Tarkapani, Kitadih, Sakchi, Santkutiya, Mango, Golpahari Gemco, Manifit, Baridih, Birsanagar, Sundernagar, Burmamines, Sitaramdera, Tinplate, Ghatshila, Birsanagar. Damanpreet Singh of the Sabha expressed the joy of witnessing a large gathering of youth after several years, signifying the potential for the Nawjawan Sabha to make a significant impact through its future work.

During the meeting, former President of the Central Sikh Nawjawan Sabha, Satinder Singh Romi, and Balveer Singh Bablu were honored with siropas. Sardar Bhagwan Singh, the head of the Central Gurudwara Committee, extended his congratulations to Amrik Singh and encouraged him to promptly expand his committee and involve youth in religious and social initiatives. Amrik Singh pledged to meet the expectations placed on him by the Gurdwara Committee and the Sabha.
