Samudayik Uchch Vidyalaya girls show off their kabaddi skills

Jamshedpur, July 8: An inter-class kabaddi league for girls kicked off at Samudayik Uchch Vidyalaya in Barigora on Friday.

The competition is being held under two categories high school and middle school.

The contest was inaugurated by the school principal. In the high school category, students of Class 8 put up their brilliant performance defeating girls of Class 9 and Class 10 by huge margins.

Scoring 86 points, Class 8 girls were declared the winner, while Class 9 girls managed to score 52 points and were the runners-up.

In the middle school category, Class 6 girls defeated Class 4, 5 and 7 students in the league matches to crown the winner while Class 7 was declared the runner-up. Captain Karishma Kumari and Neetu Kumari were jointly declared the start performers in the high school category, while in the middle school category Roshni Kumari was declared the best player.

A total of 70 players from seven teams participated in the competition. Sports teacher Shyam Kumar Sharma, H N Rai, A P Singh and others conducted all the matches.
