Jamshedpur: City based social organization Samadhan provided wheelchairs to two uniquely-abled persons and also gave sewing machines to three women at its office in Baradwari on Friday.
The outfit president Poonam Vig chaired the programme. The special guest of the programme was Jamshedpur Mahanagar president of BJP and chief patron of the outfit Dinesh Kumar.
In her address, Poonam Vig said there was need for everyone to be aware of their social responsibilities. She said it was the responsibility of all individuals to take care of those who suffer from some disability or challenges in life. She said the outfit was trying to reach out to the needy and the destitute in its own way.
Dinesh Kumar praised the outfit members for their efforts. He said serving the people gave an individual peace of mind and the motivation to continue the good work.
The beneficiaries of wheel chair were Suman Das and Sandeep Choudhary of Mango. Sandhya, Soudamani and Gurubari were given sewing machines.
Among others present on the occasion included Beena Khirwal, Harjeet Bhatia, Amita Mahendru, Sunita Sachdev, Anjali Singh, Anita Vibhar and Amarjeet Singh Raja.
