Jamshedpur, April 2: Team of Salem Steel Plant emerged winner of All India Inter-Steel Plant Volleyball Championship 2023 which concluded on March 31 at JRD Tata Sports Complex. Team of Tata Steel bagged second position.
Colonel Avinash Balasaheb Mogal was the Chief Guest of the Closing Function. Mukul Vinayak Choudhari, Chief Sports Excellence Centres, Tata Steel and other officials of Tata Steel Sports Department were also present during the prize distribution function.
A total of 140 individuals participated in the tournament this year. 11 teams namely JSW Bellary, Tata Steel, RINL Vizag, Alloy Steel Plant, VISL Bhadravati, Bokaro Steel Plant, Bhilai Steel Plant, Rourkela Steel Plant, Salem Steel Plant, IISCO Burnpur and Durgapur Steel Plant took part in the three-day sports tourney, which started on March 29. A total of 17 matches were played.
