Jamshedpur, April 2: Jamshedpur’s first Virtual Reality Lab was inaugurated at the SDSM School for Excellence in Sidgora on the occasion of the institution’s Founder’s Day.
The Virtual Reality Lab which is equipped with state-of-the-art technology offers an extensive collection of immersive educational content in the realms of science, maths and social science.
At a pre-inaugural press meet, the Chairman of the SDSM School for Excellence, Diwakar Singh explained the vision behind setting up of the Virtual Reality Lab. He said, “The reason behind installing this high profile lab is to provide students with innovative learning experience with a combination of technology and education.”
SDSM School for Excellence Principal, Moushumi Das expressed her deep satisfaction on the initiative taken by the school and said, “I am very excited at the prospect of a better future for the learning process.” The Virtual Reality Lab has been installed in partnership with the leading Edtech company, Metabook XR whose co-founders, Asish and Sanjeev Singh were also present during the inaugural ceremony.
They said that Metabook XR combined the power of Metaverse and offered a highly immersive and game tech added field with experimental content. They said that they were on a mission to make learning a joyous experience. “Student can visit Taj Mahal, visit mining fields, experiment with hazardous chemicals, make forays into ocean depths, get the experience of space and space travel in a hazardless environment provided through the Virtual Reality Lab,” they stated.
