Jamshedpur: A convocation of editors associated with magazines on Sai Baba was organized at St Lauren under the aegis of Sai Baba Sansthan Vishwa Vyavastha. It was inaugurated by Dr Suresh Kashinath Havare, chairman of Sai Baba Sansthan, trustees, district officials of Shirdi and the chief executive officer Rubal Agrawal. The guests lit a ceremonial lamp before a portrait of Sai Baba on the occasion.
In her address, Agrawal said the centenary Samadhi Mahotsava celebrations were going to commence on 1st October. Addressing those present at Sai Doot, she said the editors had the responsibility of creating publicity among the people on the forthcoming mega event. She said the editors should start working on media plan to ensure that maximum number of people get the opportunity to attend the event.
Also addressing the gathering, Dr Havare said those visiting Shirdi should be encouraged to donate blood voluntarily just the way the devotees visiting Tirupati Balaji temple offer their hair.
The participants of the convocation stressed on creating awareness among the people on blood and organ donation. They were informed that the centenary celebration will continue for one year during which various programmes will be organized. The discourses of famous spiritual leaders including Sri Sri Ravishankar, Baba Ramdev and Sadhvi Ritambhara will be organized during the celebrations.
A Paduka Yatra will also be organized in all districts of Maharashtra and various cities across the country. The celebration would be held in 25 countries across the world, said the organizers. A total of 350 editors participated in the convocation.
