Jamshedpur: A Senior Administrative Grade (SAG) Level Safety Audit team inspected the Tatanagar–Chakradharpur (TATA–CKP) section on May 28 and 29, 2026, to assess safety standards, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety procedures.
Shri Anup Kumar Satpathy, Principal Chief Safety Officer (PCSO) of South East Central Railway, led the audit alongside senior Headquarters officers. The team included the Chief Track Engineer, Chief Signal Engineer, Dy. Chief Operations Manager/Safety, Dy. Chief Safety Officer (Traffic), and other officials from Headquarters and the Chakradharpur Division.
During the inspection, the team examined Tatanagar Railway Station and various locations across the TATA–CKP section. They focused specifically on track safety, signaling systems, operational practices, passenger safety, and adherence to safety protocols. The audit team also inspected the MMV Level Crossing Gate and interacted with local residents and commuters regarding railway safety concerns.
The auditors later held a review meeting at Chakradharpur with the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), branch officers, and concerned officials. As part of the program, officials also organized a plantation drive at Chakradharpur.
