Jamshedpur: A Safety Queen Contest was organized at Motilal Nehru Public School(MNPS) for the mothers of kindergarten (KG) students. The program began with the lighting of the lamp.
The judges for the contest were Alokananda Bagchi a Rotarian and Dipali Dokania, principal of Kidzee Adityapur Branch. The programme was organized to inculcate in students the danger they may face if they meet a stranger.
A short film was shown and students sang a song. A short video presentation for the over 300 students of the KG section, “Stranger Danger” was also shown. Students gave a wonderful presentation on safety through a song.
Mothers walked on the ramp with a safety message. On the basis of their message and its effectiveness presentation the “Safety Queen” was selected. The programme was co- ordinated by teacher Smita Das, Suchismita Chakraborty, Bindu Roy and Alka Bagchi.
All the participants were awarded appreciation letters and the queen was crowned. The winners of the contest included the mothers of Prokriti Das Gupta, Nilesh Kaushik and Shreya Kumari.
Asha Sundar committee member was also present on the occasion and appreciated the effort of the school in creating awareness safety.
