Safety Mela organized at Jusco School

Jamshedpur: As a part of its mission to provide education to children in a happy, safe and nurturing environment, Jusco School, South Park, Bistupur, organized a one of its kind �Safety Mela� on Tuesday on the school premises. A unique exhibition focussed on safety was also held on the occasion.

The purpose behind organizing the programme was to educate its stakeholders about safety rules and ensure that safety becomes a way of their life, organizers said.

The programme started with the inauguration and lighting of the lamp by the chief guest. Chandra Sharan, senior manager, communication, CS& H Tata Steel. Many officials from JEM Foundation, Principals of various schools, teachers and students made the function successful with their valuable presence.

This unique safety initiative of creating awareness was organised under the able guidance of principal Shovna De. All the teachers, students and staff of the school were involved in making it a grand success.

The school has taken an initiative to organise the mela and sensitize the residents of Jamshedpur towards safety in various areas including road safety, safety for children (safety at home/food safety and safety at school), disaster management, gas safety, railway safety, electrical safety, first-aid and CPR, cyber safety, drowning safety, water safety and fire safety.

The safety training modules goes beyond the level of conventional training to meet the growing demand and challenges of the new school of thoughts and the increasing demand of safety compliance globally across the education sector.

The programme highlights were interaction with various disciplines and experts from the respective fields, preserving latest knowledge by maintaining up-to- date database, learning by actually getting involved and doing the work (practical application) and observing live models of various projects.
