Jamshedpur, June 24: Yoga helps an individual to attain as well as to maintain physical, mental and spiritual health. To mark the significance, Sacred Heart Convent School celebrated International Yoga Day on June 21 by organising yoga session in the school premises. Students were briefed about the origination of International Day of Yoga and its essence as a mindful exercise for individuals. The event highlighted the benefits of yoga in routine life. It was a serene morning where the entire school got involved in the global movement for Health and Wellness through ‘Yoga for Humanity’.
Teacher Shaimani, Head of Sports Department, and expert Yoga instructor, Anamika Jha held engaging session with demonstrations of different asanas and their benefits.
The session was well received by the students and they were encouraged to think about their physical and spiritual well-being.
