SAAP Football Exposure Programme Concludes in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, June 28: The week-long football exposure programme for the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) concluded successfully on Saturday, bringing to an end an enriching experience for 80 young footballers who spent the week training and learning in Jamshedpur.

The contingent, comprising 40 boys and 40 girls from the U-15 and U-21 age groups, participated in an intensive schedule organised by Tata Steel in coordination with Jamshedpur FC. Throughout the programme, the players experienced life in a professional football environment, taking part in daily training sessions, practice matches, gym workouts, swimming-based recovery, and classroom interactions with coaches.

Beyond football, the programme exposed the players to the holistic demands of elite athlete development, with equal emphasis on physical conditioning, recovery, discipline, nutrition and teamwork. The visiting players also explored the world-class facilities at the JRD Tata Sports Complex and Tata Football Academy, gaining valuable insights into the high-performance ecosystem developed by Tata Steel and Jamshedpur FC.

Speaking at the conclusion of the programme, Arshad Hussain, who led the technical team for the programme, said: “It has been a wonderful experience hosting these talented young footballers from Andhra Pradesh. At Jamshedpur FC, we believe football grows when knowledge is shared. We are always happy to impart our experience and coaching philosophy to young players and coaches, and contribute to the overall growth of the sport in the country. We hope the participants return home with new learnings, wonderful memories and greater motivation to pursue excellence.”

The successful completion of the programme marks another step in Tata Steel and Jamshedpur FC’s continued commitment to grassroots football development and nurturing the next generation of Indian footballers through meaningful exposure and collaboration.
