Jamshedpur, March 8: Cultural programmes and a poetry session by renowned poets marked the 9th Foundation Day celebrations of SS Academy in Baliguma. Dignitaries including legislator Saryu Roy, School President Mathura Singh, Trustee Anita Singh, Secretary Prince Singh, Trustee Mayank Pratap Singh, and Principal Dr. Lata Mankar were present on the occasion. Renowned poetess Dr. Ragini Bhushan, Upasana Sinha, Ankita Sinha, Vandana Singh, and Garima Singh, graced the occasion with their presence. The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp and a tribute to the late Shiroman Singh.
In his address, MLA Saryu Roy extended Women’s Day greetings and emphasized the pivotal role of women in creation, drawing upon Vedic and Puranic teachings to underscore the concept of Ardhanarishwar. He also felicitated the academy’s teachers with mementos as a token of appreciation for their dedication.
The event featured recitations by the city’s popular poets, Dr. Lata Mankar, Dr. Ragini Bhushan, Upasana Sinha, and Ankita Sinha, enthralling the audience with their verses. Babita Kumari conducted the program, while Meera Das delivered the vote of thanks.
