Jamshedpur: RYLA 2023 begins in KPS Kadma with 300 students

SSP attends inaugural program

Jamshedpur, June 17: A two-day program on Rotary Youth Leadership Awards 2023 (RYLA) hosted by Rotary Clubs of Jamshedpur began on Saturday, June 17 at Kerala Public School (KPS), Kadma.

The event is exclusively designed to unearth leadership potentials among the nation builders of tomorrow. 

Prabhat Kumar, SSP Jamshedpur was the Chief Guest and Sharat Chandran, Director, KPS Group of Schools was guest of honour during the inaugural program.

RYLA 2023 included sessions with keynote speakers, workshops, interactive & team building activities to encourage the students to build self-confidence, improve their communication skills and develop the courage to take leadership tasks.

The enthusiasm of 300 plus students from 13 eminent schools of the town was very much visible as the children showed keen interest.

The event saw participation of speakers from across the country as well as Jamshedpur who shall touch upon diverse subjects pertaining to the “Youth” through a beautiful mix of Classroom Sessions as well as Workshops.

Satnam Kapula, President, Rotary Clubs of Jamshedpur, Mangilal Chawla, Youth Services Chairperson Vinod Menon, RYLA Chairperson Kaustubh Kumar addressed the students.

They motivated the participating students and explained that RYLA was all about connecting, learning and enjoying.

The aim is to recognize potential young leaders and provide them with an opportunity to understand and expand their perceptions and ideals.

The two-day program will conclude on Sunday, June 18 which will be attended by Rotary District Governor Sanjeev Thakur and Immediate Past District Governor Pratim Bannerjee.

The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards is a programme for young people that was officially adopted by Rotary International in 1971.  Rotary Club of Jamshedpur, the oldest Club of undivided Bihar (15th Club of India) has conducted RYLA continuously for past many years.
