RVSCET celebrates International Women’s Day with enthusiasm

Jamshedpur: RVS College of Engineering and Technology, Jamshedpur, hosted a grand celebration to mark International Women’s Day, honouring the achievements and contributions of women. The event was graced by Dr. Shivani rala, an anesthesiologist at Tata Main Hospital, as the chief guest. She was warmly welcomed with a shawl by Deputy Registrar Seema Sinha and Dr. Rekha Tiwari presented her with a bouquet of flowers.

The college’s dignitaries, including Treasurer Shatrughan Singh, Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Tiwari and Dr. Shalini Kumari, were present to support the event. Dr. Shivani, in her address, spoke about the significance of self-care for women, emphasizing that maintaining physical and mental well-being is essential while balancing family and professional responsibilities. The event also saw the announcement of Seema Sinha as the “Woman of the Year” in recognition of her contributions.

The celebration included a cake-cutting ceremony, speeches and the distribution of gifts among the teaching and non-teaching staff. The program, hosted by Professors Shadan Bashar and Anita Giri, concluded with a vote of thanks and a renewed commitment to women’s empowerment.
