Jamshedpur: Srinath College of Education in Jamshedpur observed International Women’s Day with various activities aimed at promoting education and leadership among women. B.Ed and D.El.Ed students organized a street play to highlight the significance of women’s empowerment and gender equality. The event revolved around the theme “Women Empowerment: Towards Education and Leadership,” reinforcing the crucial role of education in shaping a progressive society.
A rally was also organized by the students to raise awareness about women’s rights and the importance of education in empowering them. Chairman Sukhdev Mahato, in his address, acknowledged the challenges faced by women and emphasized that education is the key to making them self-reliant. Principal Rachna Rashmi reiterated that women are the foundation of society and their active participation in education and leadership leads to the development of families and communities.
The event concluded with the felicitation of outstanding students, reaffirming the college’s commitment to the safety, education and empowerment of women. The program ended on a patriotic note with the singing of the national anthem.
