RVS College celebrates National Youth Day with drawing contest

Jamshedpur: RVS College of Engineering and Technology (RVSCET), Jamshedpur, commemorated National Youth Day with a vibrant drawing competition organized by its NSS wing. The event, held on the occasion of the 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, emphasized his teachings and the pivotal role of youth in nation-building.

The competition was spearheaded by NSS Chief Programme Officer Dr. Dilip Kumar Haldar, Programme Officer Dr. Rahidas Kumar, and Prof. Kunal Kumar, with active involvement from the NSS wing’s President and Vice President. Their encouragement and support inspired the participants to channel their creativity meaningfully.

A total of 30 students from different departments participated, showcasing their artistic talents through works inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s philosophies, youth empowerment, and national development. The competition not only highlighted the students’ creative abilities but also reflected their understanding of Swami Vivekananda’s values.

Certificates and prizes were awarded to the winners in recognition of their exceptional contributions. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, underscoring the importance of such initiatives in nurturing young minds, fostering creativity, and instilling values that contribute to the nation’s progress.
