Jamshedpur: A group of high school students from RVS Academy embarked on an educational visit to MGM Government Hospital on 30th November 2024 to gain first-hand knowledge of public health care systems. The initiative aimed to provide students with practical exposure to the workings of a public hospital and to foster awareness of the healthcare sector.
During the visit, the students toured various hospital departments including the emergency ward, paediatric unit, and pharmacy. They had the opportunity to interact with doctors and healthcare workers, gaining valuable insights into patient care, hospital management, and the challenges faced by public hospitals. “This visit was an eye-opener. It helped us understand the importance of public health services and inspired some of us to consider careers in healthcare,” said Krishna Patra, a student of RVS Academy.

The Vice-Principal of RVS Academy highlighted the importance of bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical experience. “The initiative aims to foster community awareness and show students that learning extends beyond the classroom,” she remarked.
Binda Singh, Chairman of RVS Academy, also praised the initiative, stating, “The trip was a unique and educative experience that introduced students to a new perspective on work and public service. This experience marks a new chapter in the students’ lives and will contribute to their future growth. RVS Academy remains committed to providing holistic education and opportunities for experiential learning.”
The visit was a valuable educational experience for the students, offering them a deeper understanding of the healthcare system and a broader perspective on their future careers.
