Jamshedpur, Aug 9: A one day workshop on introducing more women to the world of banking was conducted at Bhatin Panchayat Bhawan today. A large number of rural women including those associated with self help groups were present in the workshop.
They were informed of insurance benefits and compensation provisions in cases of accident. They were also told that RBI Ranchi had issued strict instruction that action would be taken against concerned bank staff in case of misbehavior with customers. Jamshedpur ADM Anil Kumar stated that the main purpose of conducting this workshop was to introduce more women to the various banking schemes drawn up to provide them benefits.
The one day workshop was also addressed by Tribal Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries President Khelaram Murmu, Senior Branch Manager of Bank of India Bhuglu Murmu, Branch Manager of Kalikapur Bank of India Pankaj Verma and representative of JSPL Potka Murli Dhar Mahto and PO Sanjay Jha.
