Rs 200 crore to be spent to develop Chhinamastika temple in Rajrappa as tourist spot

Jharkhand will be developed as a tourism hub: Raghubar Das

Ranchi: Addressing a high level meeting for development of Chhinnamastika temple in Rajrappa at a local guest house, Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that Jharkhand has immense possibility of tourism development and that doing it will increase revenue and generate employment opportunities for youths.

�In tourism sector, the state will soon get prominence in the world sphere. The state government has taken an initiative to develop all tourist places. We plan to spend Rs 200 crores for development of the famous Chhinnamastika temple on the lines of the world-renowned Vaishno Devi temple. World class facilities will be provided to attract foreign tourists. Beautification of the temple will change the look and fate of the entire area,� said the CM.

Das further said that after beautification of temples, local shops will be constructed. Bus stands and as many as 600 shops will be constructed. �I appeal to local vendors to support the state government. Before 2022, a new Jharkhand needs to be created as per the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The new India as envisaged by him has agriculture, industry and tourism top on the priority list of the government. The same applies for Jharkhand,� he said.

The CM further said, �Sangam of Itkhori, Luguburu of Lalpania, Bokaro, Anjan Dham of Gumla and Jain pilgrimage in Parasnath will be developed as cultural spots for tourists. The government is building a new dimension daily and working for consolidated development of the state.�

The CM directed the officials concerned to prepare the DPR for various development projects proposed at the meeting. Earlier, he offered prayers at the Chhinnamastika temple and sought prosperity and happiness for the people of Jharkhand.

Drinking Water and Sanitation Minister Chandraprakash Chaudhary, Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma, Secretary of Ministry of Art and Culture and Sports Rahul Sharma, Managing Director of state Building Construction Corporation Sunil Kumar, District Commissioner Rajeshwari B and SP Kaushal Kishor were present at the meeting.
