Jamshedpur: A railway passenger was rescued by a vigilant Railway Protection Force (RPF) officer at Tatanagar railway station on Saturday. The incident occurred around 1.35 pm at platform number 5 when the passenger was trying to board Ahmedabad Express. The train had just started when the passenger slipped from the footboard.
In a jiffy, half of the passenger�s body had slipped into the narrow space between the train and the platform. The passenger had tightly held the handle on the compartment�s door. Fortunately, the distressed passenger was noticed by an RPF officer standing at the platform. The cop rushed towards the passenger and pulled him up with full force, helping him to board the train safely.

Soon after the incident transpired, senior RPF officials reached the station to inquire about the incident. The cops also watched the CCTV footage and saw the passenger�s miraculous escape from death, courtesy the RPF officer.
