RPF jawans and TTEs from Chakradharpur Division to serve at Kumbh Mela Prayagraj

Jamshedpur, Dec 11: In a bid to ensure the safety and convenience of devotees attending the 2024 Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj, RPF jawans and ticket inspectors (TTEs) from Tatanagar and Chakradharpur Railway Division have been deployed for various duties. A total of 106 ticket inspectors from the South East Zone, including 23 TTEs from Chakradharpur Division, will serve from December 11 to 16. Simultaneously, 60 RPF personnel, including officers and two sniffer dogs, will be on security duty at the Mela until December 18.

These personnel will ensure smooth ticketing services and the security of thousands of devotees and saints expected to gather at the Mela. The responsibility includes setting up additional ticket counters at Prayagraj station to manage the heavy influx of passengers. RPF personnel will work round-the-clock in coordination with local police and GRP to ensure the safety and convenience of all attending.

“The safety and convenience of the devotees is our top priority. Our team will remain vigilant throughout the month,” said an official from the Chakradharpur division.

IRCTC has also announced the setup of a residential camp at Prayagraj for the devotees, providing better accommodation, food services, and a place to participate in cultural and religious activities. The camp will offer executive lounges, vegetarian meals, and breakfast by the riverbank. IRCTC’s efforts aim to ensure that devotees do not face any shortages of food and water during their stay at the Mela.

This coordination between the Railway authorities and local agencies aims to provide a smooth and safe experience for the millions expected to attend the religious gathering.
