
Jamshedpur, July 17: Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West started its second adult literacy centre by at Murgaguttu village on Monday.
The centre was inaugurated by Dr Amit Mukherjee, Anjani Kishore Sahay, President of the club Shweta Chand, Kamlendu Shukla, and the other accompanying members.
Anjani Kishore, Dr Amit Mukherjee and Kamlendu Shukla expressed their views on literacy among the women in which they emphasized on the important of basic education for ladies and explained how important it is to be literate for everyone in today�s era.
Study materials were provided to the ladies by the club members. The club members also visited the toddler school running in the village. Charts were given to the teacher to help them in their methodology of teaching. Members distributed biscuits amongst the small children.
Dipti Kumar, Anupma Sehgal, Alpana Shukla and Nibha Mishra secretary of the club were also present.
15 ladies and 20 children will be benefitted by this three months long course. It may be noted that the club opened its first adult literacy centre in Harijan Basti, Sidhgoda.
