Rotary Steel City observes population day

Jamshedpur, July 17: Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City on the occasion of World Population Day launched public awareness about population issues such as the importance of family planning at Rapcha village, Gamharia on July 17. Gynecologist Dr Amit Kumar informed the villagers about practicing safe sex. He said that family planning is essential to securing the well-being and autonomy of women. It helps prevent unintended pregnancies, reducing the risk of deaths of mothers and children

The club members also distributed condoms and birth control pills.

 Snacks were also distributed among the children. Rotarylet Arhaan Parikh spoke to the young girls and boys on this subject.

Nine members of the club were present on the occasion while three Rotarylets were also part of the awareness programme.
