Jamshedpur, July 2: Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City began the Rotary year 2020-21 with tree plantation drive on Wednesday, July 1. July 1 marks the commencement of tenure of the new board of members in Rotary Clubs. The club members planted 60 saplings at the foothills of Dalma.
Plantation drive was in line with Rotary International’s New 7th Area of Focus “Supporting The Environment”.
The same was done under the guidance of Club’s Chartered President Smita Parikh along with club President Vishal Agarwalla , Secretary Krishna Kharia, Treasurer Umang Jhunjhunwalla, and encouraged by Past Secretary Nikita Mehta, supported by members Trilok Singh, Jitesh Taunk, Rotary spouce Richa Agarwalla, spouce Manju Bhamra and Roterylet Jaivardhan Agarwalla .
The club has pledged to plant 1000 trees in and around Jamshedpur in the next 12 months. This activity endorses Rotary International’s belief that “Rotary Opens Opportunities”.
