Rotary Jamshedpur West celebrates I-Day at Diksha Center

Jamshedpur, Aug 16: Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West commemorated Independence Day with an array of events held at the Diksha Center, located in Khutadih, Sonari. The day was filled with spirited activities including sports, dance, singing, and a fancy dress competition, which engaged the children from Rotary School. The young participants were rewarded with prizes and sweets, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The distinguished presence of Anjani Nidhi, Chief Guest and Assistant Governor of Rotary’s Zone 18, elevated the event as she hoisted the national flag. During her address, she delved into the history of the tricolor, emphasizing the significance of the day. Anjani Nidhi urged parents to lay a strong foundation for their children and encouraged the teaching of religious tolerance and respect for diverse beliefs.

The Rotary Club’s contribution extended further as, under the leadership of Rotarian Amit Mukherjee, the national flag was also raised at Rotary School Murgagutu. Chief Guest Rotarian Rajesh Kumar praised the commendable role played by the Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West in the school’s development.

The celebration encapsulated the club’s commitment to fostering patriotism, instilling moral values, and contributing to the growth and progress of the community.
