Plantation drive marks I-Day at Govind Vidyalaya

Jamshedpur, August 16: Govind Vidyalaya in Tamulia resonated with patriotic fervour as it celebrated the 77th Independence Day under the theme “Meri Mati, Mera Desh,” concluding the “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” campaign. The event was a testament to the dedication towards honoring the nation’s freedom fighters and their sacrifices.

The Chief Guest, Director Dr BD Sharma, hoisted the tricolour amidst a distinguished gathering that included Special Guest Rukmani Sharma, Ajmal Balki (Vice President, Seraikela Kharsawan District Congress), School Principal Krishna Modak, Secretary Abhishek Sharma, Head of HODs Naushad Razia, PRO Rajesh Sharma, Principal Hindi Medium Sunita Tripathi, teachers, students, and parents.

The programme continued with captivating speeches, dances, songs, and a skit that showcased the determination and resilience of students from both the Junior and Senior wings of both English and Hindi mediums.

As part of the “Meri Mati, Mera Desh” campaign and the culmination of “Azadi ke Amrit Mahotsav,” a plantation drive was carried out.
