Jamshedpur: A new club, the Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur West, was formed by Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West in the city on Wednesday.
The Club formation took place in the presence of district Rotary governor Rajiv Modi, first lady of the District Kanta Modi, Inner Wheel Past District Chairman Lata Raina, Aruna Taneja, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West president Amitava Bakshi and other members of the Club who helped in the formation of the Club. Presidents of Inner wheel Clubs and dignitaries of other Clubs were also present on the occasion.
Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West decided to form an Inner Wheel Club consisting of women Rotary members, moderators of Interact Clubs, lady professionals and home makers from city of Jamshedpur to ensure betterment of society, with special emphasis on women and children.
President Amitava Bakshi, welcomed all in his address and said that Inner Wheel always been considered as another hand of Rotary and the new Club will establish itself in the long run as one of the major ladies wings in the society. He assured that Rotary West will always be there to guide the members of the new Club and help in establishing them properly. He said that women are born mothers and they have the expertise of multi tasking in an effortless manner.
Taneja expressed happiness over the formation of new Club and explained to new members rule, guidelines and Goals of Inner Wheel next year. She called President of newly formed Inner Wheel Jamshedpur West, V Kalpana Chatterjee, secretary Khuswant Kaur and signed the form in front of dignitaries. Kalpana Kaur introduced her team members and welcomed them with flowers.
District Rotary governor, Rajiv Modi, congratulated Rotary West President Bakshi and Club members for forming Inner Wheel Club. He expressed hope that the new Club will reach to many and bring change in their lives.
Arun Jha thanked the Rotary members for their presence and cooperation. The new Inner Wheel members include Kalpana Chatterjee, president, Punam Jha, vice president, Khushwant Kaur, secretary, Suchanda Banerjee, treasurer, Rita Sinha, editor, Shalili Bhagat, Smriti Sinha, Anima Sinha, Harpreet Kaur, Sudheshna, Jyotsana Bakshi, Lata Chakravorty, KN Bhanu, Richa, Priya and Setubandha De.
