Jamshedpur: Madhuri Dixit starrer web series ‘Mrs Deshpande’ began streaming on JioHotstar on Friday, December 19, 2025, and has generated considerable excitement among Steel City’s viewers. In a unique initiative, Madhuri Dixit’s fan Pappu Sardar organized an open-air screening of the web series on Friday evening at Handi Line in the Sakchi market area.
The web series was screened free of cost on a large 8×12-foot television screen installed along the roadside under the open sky. Between 8 pm and 10 pm, the episode was shown twice, drawing an enthusiastic crowd. According to Pappu Sardar, this was the first time a newly released web series featuring Madhuri Dixit was screened publicly in an open space.
The 45-minute episode series features Madhuri Dixit in the lead role, alongside Priyanshu Chatterjee, Siddharth Chandekar, Kavin Dave, Deeksha Juneja, Pradeep Velankar, and Nimisha Nair. The series is written by Nagesh Kukunoor and Rohit Banawalikar and directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, with production by Aelehe Hiptulla, Moiz Tarwadi, and Applause Entertainment.
Viewers described Mrs Deshpande as a gripping crime thriller in which the murderer openly confesses, yet the mystery deepens with constant twists and turns. While some felt the initial episodes move at a slower pace, the series ultimately keeps audiences engaged with its suspense and layered storytelling, making it an impactful and thrilling watch.
