Tata Motors senior officials visit Jamshedpur union office

Jamshedpur, Dec 19: Senior HR and ER officials of Tata Motors today visited Tata Motors Workers Union office.

The delegation included HR and ER heads from the Pune, Lucknow, Dharwad and Pantnagar plants.

The visiting officials, who were on a two-day tour, were accorded a warm welcome at the union’s Gopeshwar Hall.

Union President Shashi Bhushan Prasad and General Secretary R.K. Singh felicitated the guests with shawls, saplings and mementos.

Addressing the gathering, General Secretary R.K. Singh highlighted the union’s key activities and its strong, harmonious relationship with the management.

He said the Union’s foremost objective is to ensure that employees work safely in the factory and return home safely.

He also spoke about the Union’s commendable contributions in the field of social responsibility, particularly its exemplary work in blood donation drives.

Maintaining healthy coordination between the Union and management and safeguarding workers’ interests, he added, remain top priorities. Singh also invited the visiting officials to visit Jamshedpur again.

Sharing her experience, Aditi said that Jamshedpur had exceeded expectations and praised the strong bond between the Union and the management.

Pantnagar HR Head Vishnu Dutt described the relationship between management and Union in Jamshedpur as inspiring, while Pantnagar ER Head Hemant Sinha lauded the Union’s activities and termed them exemplary.

Nagendra remarked that the work culture of the Jamshedpur plant offers valuable learning, calling it the “Gangotri” of Tata Motors plants, and said his long-standing desire to visit the plant had finally been fulfilled.

HR Head Pranav Kumar of the Tata Motors Jamshedpur Plant said the visitors would have gained meaningful insights from the visit and termed their presence a pleasant experience.

ER Head Saumik Roy emphasized that the bond between management and the Union is inseparable and stressed the need to further strengthen it in the days ahead.
