Road safety awareness at RVS Academy

Jamshedpur, Feb 22: An awareness campaign to sensitize students on road safety and traffic awareness was conducted at RVS Academy on Thursday, February 22. The Chairman of the school managing committee Binda Singh, Principal Veesha Mohindra and Vice Principal Anita Tiwary were present on the occasion.

Students presented a skit on road safety. The Principal welcomed and introduced the guests. The session was conducted by Head of the Safety Department of Tata Steel, Sunil Kumar, Senior Manager Mom Mitra and Manager Ravi Prakash for the students of Classes 6 to 11. The students were briefed about the various traffic rules that should be followed in order to maintain safety on the roads. They raised awareness about traffic rules to reduce casualties due to road accidents. “It is vital that people are aware of the rules and regulations of the road and the importance of following them,” they underlined. Commitment Leaflets were distributed among the students, which were to be signed by the parents. The rationale behind this leaflet was to identify whether the parents were concerned and aware about road safety rules. Adnan Ahmed of 9 A proposed the vote of thanks.
