RS 100 Crore infrastructure push for industrial areas: Varun Ranjan
Modern waste management system coming to Jamshedpur: JIADA MD
Jamshedpur, June 26: Jharkhand Industrial Area Development Authority (JIADA) Managing Director Varun Ranjan has announced that repair and construction of roads in the Adityapur Industrial Area will begin immediately after the monsoon season.
Speaking to reporters at Hotel Ramada in Bistupur on Thursday during his visit to Jamshedpur for a manufacturing conclave, Ranjan said the tendering process for the road project has already been completed. However, the work was delayed due to the retirement of the department’s Chief Engineer. “Road construction cannot be carried out during the rainy season, but the work will definitely start once the monsoon ends,” he said.
To tackle waterlogging in the industrial area, Ranjan informed that Rs 5 crore has been sanctioned for drain cleaning and other routine maintenance works. “Our priority is to ensure that rainwater does not enter industrial units and disrupt production during the monsoon,” he added.
Highlighting the government’s focus on industrial infrastructure, Ranjan said nearly Rs 100 crore is being invested to upgrade roads, drainage systems, and other essential facilities across industrial areas in Jharkhand.
On solid waste management, the JIADA MD said the technical evaluation process has been completed and financial bids for projects in Ranchi, Jamshedpur, and Dhanbad will be opened soon. The selected agency will be responsible for scientific waste collection and disposal.
“The new system will be modern, digital, and scientifically managed, bringing a major improvement in urban sanitation and waste management,” Ranjan said.
