Jamshedpur: A major lapse on the part of nine schools in East Singhbhum district has come to light, as they have failed to collect Class IX board examination mark sheets even more than two months after the declaration of results by the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC).
District Education Officer (DEO) has expressed strong displeasure over the negligence, stating that the mark sheets had been made available at the DEO office nearly two months ago. Despite this, the principals and managements of the concerned schools have not collected them, resulting in unnecessary delays in distributing the documents to students.
According to education department sources, reminders have already been sent to the defaulting institutions. The DEO has now directed all concerned schools to immediately collect the mark sheets and ensure their prompt distribution among students.
The schools that have not collected the Class IX mark sheets are:
Community High School, Bagbera
Urdu High School, Telco
Upgraded Hindi High School, Chapri, Musabani
Government Secondary High School, Narga
SS High School, Gandanata
Government Secondary High School, Palidih
Government High School, Pipla
Model School, Patamda
Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls’ School, Patamda

After nearly two months of delay, the Jharkhand Academic Council has intensified efforts to distribute pending Intermediate (Class XII) mark sheets. Sources said that JAC deputed a special messenger to Allahabad to bring the documents, which were subsequently transported to Ranchi by air.
The council is currently preparing district-wise packets of mark sheets at its Ranchi headquarters. Senior officials have instructed employees to work late into the night to complete the task on priority.
According to sources, dispatch of mark sheets to several districts is expected to begin on Thursday. Despite the Muharram holiday, arrangements are being made to ensure that the documents reach districts without further delay, allowing students to receive their mark sheets at the earliest.
