Road clear for construction of Jugsalai Railway over-bridge

Tenders floated, BJP welcomes ‘Diwali gift’ with celebration

Jamshedpur: Members of the Jugsalai unit of Bharatiya Janata Party organized a function here on Friday to celebrate the approval given to the long-pending Jugsalai railway over-bridge construction project and floating of tenders for the same. Laddoos were distributed by the party leaders and firecrackers were burnt on the occasion.

Leading the celebration, Jamshedpur Mahanagar president Dinesh Kumar said the residents of Jugsalai had got a big Diwali gift this year as the state government and the Railway department has finally announced the commencement of the over-bridge at Jugsalai railway level crossing. Kumar thanked Chief Minister Raghubar Das and the MP of Jamshedpur Bidyut Baran Mahato for their role in expediting the process of getting approval for the project from the Railways and the Central government.

“The state government is dedicated to the development and welfare of the people of Jharkhand. Now it is clear that the BJP does what it says. The over-bridge would facilitate overall and speedy development of Jugsalai and rid the people of regular road jam at the railway level crossing,” said the BJP president.

District BJP general secretary Anil Modi termed the day as historic and added that there could not have been a bigger gift for the Jugsalai residents than the announcement of the over-bridge project’s commencement.

He said he himself was a resident of Jugsalai. Every day, the residents of Jugsalai and those passing through the area have to face traffic jam at the railway level crossing, he said.
