RMS High School, Balichela secures ISC affiliation

Jamshedpur, Dec 9 : RMS High School, Balichela in Sonari—run by Rajasthan Maitri Sangh—has achieved a major milestone with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) granting full affiliation to conduct ISC (Class XII) classes.

With this, the institution is now officially affiliated for both ICSE (Class X) and ISC (Class XII).

Announcing the development at a press conference on Monday, Principal Pratima Sinha said the school has upgraded its infrastructure significantly in recent years. New science and computer labs, a modern library, smart classrooms with interactive boards, a large playground, and a dedicated administrative block have been added. After a comprehensive inspection, the CISCE team found the school fully compliant with all required norms.

Admissions Open for Class XI

Admission forms for Class XI (Science and Commerce) are available from 8 December 2025.

A total of 100 seats will be offered in the first batch. Selection will be based on an entrance test and Class X performance, with preference given to girl students. The Humanities stream is also planned for future introduction.

A Journey from JAC to ICSE/ISC

Handed over to Rajasthan Maitri Sangh by Tata Steel in 2003 through the efforts of Late D.P. Kharia, the school initially operated under JAC. English medium was introduced in 2011, followed by ICSE affiliation in 2023 and now ISC in 2025. Over 1,000 students are currently enrolled.

Trustees of Rajasthan Maitri Sangh—Ramesh Agarwalla, R.K. Jhunjhunwala, S.S. Gadia, Deepak Dokania and Academic Head V.K. Tulsiyan—stated that Late D.P. Kharia’s dream of providing quality English-medium education to children from lower socio-economic backgrounds is now being realized.

The management reiterated its commitment to further strengthening educational facilities and empowering students.
