Jamshedpur: The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) on Tuesday sealed an under-construction building at Holding No. 73 in Ranikudar, Kadma, after finding serious violations of the approved building plan.
According to officials, the building owner had permission to construct only a G+2 structure, but work was found progressing up to the fifth floor. Despite being issued a prior notice, the construction continued in open defiance of regulations, prompting the sealing action.
A JNAC team reached the site following information about illegal construction and confirmed that the structure had been extended up to the fifth storey, breaching municipal norms.
The team immediately sealed the premises.
JNAC has directed the building owner to appear before the committee with all valid documents at the earliest.
Failure to comply will result in strict legal action, the officials warned.
