Jamshedpur, Dec 9 : In view of the biting cold, the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) has taken swift action to provide relief to the public.
Acting on the directions of the Deputy Municipal Commissioner (DMC), bonfire facilities have been arranged at major points across the municipal area.
The initiative aims to support people who remain outdoors at night, including the homeless, daily commuters, labourers, rickshaw pullers, and senior citizens.
These spots have been identified based on high footfall and public need.
Key Highlights:
* Bonfire arrangements set up at 26 designated locations
* Daily setup and monitoring by sanitation staff as per schedule
* Night-time supervision by municipal teams for smooth coordination
* Additional bonfire points to be added if required
* Special focus on providing relief to senior citizens, rickshaw pullers, and the working class
This proactive step by JNAC is expected to offer much-needed comfort to vulnerable groups during the harsh winter nights.
