IVth CISCE Zonal Carrom Tournament at JH Tarapore
Jamshedpur, July 27: The second day of the IVth CISCE Zonal Carrom Tournament 2023 witnessed electrifying U-17 competitions, showcasing young talent in the game of carrom. The tournament, held at J. H. Tarapore School, reached its climax with exhilarating results.
After intense rounds of competition, Rishab Kumar Singh of KPS Gamharia was declared the winner in the U-17 (Singles) Boys Category. Sheikh Zayed Bin Zahid of KPS Mango secured the second spot, while Aditya Kumar of Church School Beldih came in third.
In the (Singles) Girls Category, Zarnain Monazza of JH Tarapore School claimed the first prize, followed by Nikki Kumari of Gulmohur High School and Maryam Shabbir of KPS Mango.
Aariz Mahboob & Mohammad Abban of KPS Mango were the winners in the U-17 (Doubles) Boys Category. Amit Kumar Gupta & Gaurav Kumar Singh of Church School Beldih, and Dipesh Pandey & Raj Srivastava of KPS Kadma secured the second and third spots, respectively.
In the U-17 (Doubles) Girls Category, Nazra Ahmad & Dipanita Manik of JH Tarapore School emerged as the winners. Dipika Kumari & Swati Kumari of KPS Gamharia bagged the second spot, while Namra Aslam & Tasmiya Kainat of KPS Mango secured the third position.
The event witnessed the presence of Avinesh Tripathy, the District Sports Officer at the Department of Art, Culture, Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Jharkhand, as the Chief Guest. Once a talented National Level Volleyball player, he now stands as a respected leader in the realm of sports administration.
With unmatched skill and determination, the young carrom players battled it out on the board, leaving spectators in awe of their abilities.
