Jamshedpur: The political atmosphere in Jugsalai turned vibrant on Wednesday as Rinku Singh filed her nomination papers for the post of Chairperson of the Jugsalai Municipal Council amid great enthusiasm and a large gathering of supporters. Rinku Singh, wife of influential social worker Guddu Singh, is contesting the election with the backing of the Bharatiya Janata Party and is also receiving firm support from the entire NDA alliance.
The nomination procession witnessed a strong show of strength, with several prominent BJP and NDA leaders accompanying Rinku Singh, underlining her growing influence and organisational support in the Jugsalai region. Party workers and supporters gathered in large numbers, creating a festive and charged political atmosphere around the nomination venue.
Speaking to the media after filing her nomination, Rinku Singh said that resolving the basic civic issues of Jugsalai would be her foremost priority. She emphasized that ensuring all-round development, improving essential services, and addressing long-pending local problems would be at the centre of her agenda if elected.
Political observers note that Rinku Singh currently appears to be the frontrunner in the chairperson’s race, owing to Guddu Singh’s strong grassroots connections and the BJP’s well-established organisational network in the area. The visible unity of the NDA alliance has further strengthened her position in the contest.
Among the prominent leaders present on the occasion were Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy, senior BJP leaders Amarpreet Singh Kale, Abhay Singh, and Satbir Singh Somu, along with a large number of party workers and supporters.
