Review of schemes at Mango Municipal Corporation

Jamshedpur, June 12: Ranjit Lohara, the Additional Municipal Commissioner of Mango Municipal Corporation (MMC), conducted a comprehensive review of all ongoing schemes. Lohara sought updates from relevant officers regarding the status of various projects.

Instructions were issued to expedite the construction of pending houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna within a deadline of one month. Additionally, directives were given to accelerate the progress of work under the Deendayal Antyoday Yojna National Urban Livelihood Mission, including the distribution of vending certificates and smart cards to street vendors.

Further, Lohara emphasized the continuation of shelter home operations, ensuring that urban homeless individuals, especially women, were accommodated to avoid exposure to the scorching heat.

Under the Chief Minister Shramik Yojna, eligible beneficiaries were instructed to fill out job card application forms, and work allocation was to be based on demand.

Additionally, schemes funded through MLA funds and the 15th Finance Commission were thoroughly reviewed. An assessment of cleaning of major drains was also made.Instructions were issued to complete cleaning tasks for both small and large drains within a week.

The ongoing cleaning activities within the Municipal Corporation area were reviewed, with daily monitoring of water provision through tankers. Lohara stressed the importance of ensuring adequate water supply in affected areas.

Furthermore, the registration process for births and deaths was scrutinized, with a directive to expedite applications to ensure timely issuance of birth and death certificates.

The operational aspects of vehicles deployed for cleaning purposes, such as tippers, compactors, JCBs, and tractors, were also assessed.

All officers and employees were instructed to adhere to prescribed timelines for completing allocated tasks and scheme-related activities. The meeting was attended by Assistant Municipal Commissioner, City Manager, CMM, Assistant Engineer, Accounts Officer, Accounts Assistant, Junior Engineer, and other officials and staff.
