Jamshedpur, April 10: A meeting of retired Tata Steel employees was held at Nildih Ground in Birsanagar on Sunday. The participants unanimously decided to organize a sit-in before the Jamshedpur Collectorate to demand cancellation of the examination for recruitment of trainees in Tata Steel held on March 6. They demanded that the recruitment exam should be reorganized while alleging that the recently concluded exam was riddled with corruption.
The speakers alleged that many examinees had taken mobile phones along with them to the examination centre. Due to such malpractices during exam, many undeserving candidates were selected, alleged that speakers.
The retired employees said the company should have started a special drive registration of registered wards of employees. They said question paper leak during the exam was a strong ground for cancelling the exam.
The meeting was attended by BD Singh, Ratna Roy, MD Alam, M Sheikh, Prabha Mandal and Reena Mukherjee.

Why did this question arise after the selection of candidates and not during the exam held, where as Tata Steel had beforehand announced of selecting only 500 candidates…. what were the volunteers doing when the candidates had taken phone along with them…. how could metal detector not detect the mobile phones n other gadgets. How did they know that those who are selected are not deserving…..
Candidates many known are good in academics are not selected…. but they never came with these kind of allegations……. Anyways Justice and right should prevail
