Ranchi, April 29: Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) Stadium in Ranchi will host IPL’s second qualifier on May 22 for logistical reasons.
Once it was finalised as a Playoff venue, Ranchi’s proximity to Kolkata, where the final will be played on May 24, went in its favour.
It is a minor change from the original schedule proposed for the final week of the tournament.
Wankhede stadium in Mumbai had been allotted the second qualifier, but now Mumbai will host the first qualifier on May 19. Pune will host the eliminator on May 20.
