Jamshedpur, April 29: Keeping in view acute crisis of blood during summers and keeping their tradition alive from last 18 years, Motilal Nehru Public School (MNPS) organized blood donation camp at the school premises on Wednesday, April 29.
Altogether 77 units of blood were collected during the camp. It was inaugurated by Mrs Nalini Rammurthy, Secretary, Jamshedpur Blood Bank.
Mrs Nalini Rammurthy supported and congratulated the institution for organizing this camp every year, this being the 18th consecutive year. R. P. Tayagi, Chairman School Managing Committee congratulated parents and students for donating blood.
A team of doctors from the blood bank under the guidance of Dr. L.B Singh, Incharge Jamshedpur Blood Bank helped in Blood Donation.
The programme received immense support from the School Management, parents, faculty members and students who came forward to donate blood considered as a noble cause.
School Cabinet and Sunil Mukherjee from the Voluntary Blood Donor�s Association, Jharkhand played an active role.
Teachers Mr S. M. Swain, Mrs. Moli Deb, Mrs. Keya Adak, Mrs Balaka Dutta, Mr Harendera Singh, Mr. Manoj Kumar, & Mr. Rakesh Dubey played an active role along with students for this noble cause.
