Jamshedpur, April 21: ‘Let’s join hands on Earth day to make our Earth a better place to live in’- with this thought the morning assembly at Sheyn International School was reverberated with excitement and enthusiasm of the students who were all geared up to create awareness on environment, thus celebrating the occasion of Earth Day.
The students were sentized about the importance of saving the environment during the special assembly followed by the ramp –walk of the tiny toddlers dressed in green holding various cut-outs.
This was further followed by an enactment depicting the importance of trees. The students presented a dance performance which enthralled the on-lookers, depicting the love for birds and Mother Nature.
Children presented and explained different exhibits which made everyone aware of the various ways in which we can conserve natural resource.
A go-green activity was organized by the school staff and students where the principal and Vice principal planted a sapling.
The Principal of the school Mr. Manuj Sharma and the Vice-Principal of the school Mrs. Pushpa Bhalla encouraged the students to respect our Mother Earth and conserve its resources.
They explained what is the importance of a healthy and clean environment in our life. “The Earth belongs to us and we belong to the Earth”. That was the feeling in every Sheynite’s heart for Mother Earth.
