International conference at RVS College concludes on buoyant note

Jamshedpur, April 21: The two-day international conference on ‘Computer Science and Recent trends in technology’ concluded at RVS College of Engineering and Technology on Friday.

Guests for the day were Professor (Dr) Jamuna Kant Singh from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and NIT Jamshedpur’s professor (Dr) Sanjay Kumar.

In his speech, Professor Sanjay Kumar while addressing the students said, ‘Focus on will power, pledge, devotion and discipline to execute a work and for research these four become much more important. Kumar also informed about the importance of internet and said that always pay back to the society and the country otherwise this education is of no use. Education is not only about jobs, but about giving back to society.

Professor (Dr) Jamuna Kant Singh shared his research experience with the students and praised the RVS College campus. Addressing the students and researchers, Singh said that research helps the country and society at large.

There are very few private institutes in India where IEEE agrees to sponsor the seminar and RVS College is one of them. The international conference will have a long term benefit for the students and the college. He added that the Institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) has extended its technical support whose core perception is “Advancing Technology for Humanity”.

He also said this was the first of its kind event in Jamshedpur and after IIT (ISM) Dhanbad it was only the second in Jharkhand.
