Jamshedpur, April 21: Sreeleathers family paid rich tributes to its founder Suresh Chandra Dey on his 106th birth anniversary.
Shekhar Dey, the eldest of his three sons, who owns the Sreeleathers� Bistupur showroom along with the employees of the footwear and leather product manufacturer and steel city residents joined in the celebration by offering floral tributes to the freedom fighter during the event organised at Kamani centre in Bistupur on Friday morning. The dignitaries arrived in hordes to pay tributes to the legendary figure by garlanding her portrait.
Addressing the gathering, Shekhar Dey, said, Suresh Chandra Dey laid foundation of Sreeleathers in the year 1952 on a very small note but due to his hardwork and dedication it stands tall today and has spread its wings all over the country.
‘It was his idea to offer products at affordable price and the slogan that he gave ‘World Class Right Price’ has made Sreeleathers what it is today and we are following the same and would continue to provide quality products to our consumers at reasonable price’, promised Shekhar Dey.
He further said that Suresh Dey was involved in various social works and Sreeleathers continues the tradition in association with several organisations.
‘We pledge to continue to follow the path laid down by our founder’, noted Dey.
A stall was also set up by Sreeleathers adjacent to the Kamani Centre where commuters were offered sherbet. On the occasion the general manager of Sreeleathers Tushar Sarkar along with employees and residents were present.
