Ramgarh: Youth’s decomposed body recovered from well, father arrested

Ramgarh: Body of a Panu Mahto, father of Lakhan Mahto, 28, resident of Zobhiya village of Gola police station area, was found in a well one and a half kilometers away from the house. When the police reached and took out the body from the well with the help of local people, it was completely decomposed. The news of finding the dead body spread like wildfire in the surrounding areas.

There were wound marks at many parts on the body of the deceased. A heavy stone was tied to the body of the deceased and it was thrown into the well. People became angry after seeing the wound. The local people considered it a case of murder and started various discussions. The villagers were expressing doubt on the father’s role in the murder of the youth. Due to this, when the police detained the father of the deceased and interrogated him, he confessed to the crime. At present, the police are investigating the matter and taking further action. Possibly family dispute is the cause of murder.
